ANCILLARY TOOLS FOR CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES

As we continue to carry out our stated mission of “guiding authors in the classroom,” we offer the following tools for language activities and assessments in conjunction with the exercises found in Think Write Book: A Sentence Combining Workbook for ELL StudentsTeacher Resources and Student Handouts are indicated in parentheses after each tool; the Student Handouts may be copied and distributed for students to insert in their folder/portfolio, writing notebook, or binder.   The handouts may also be made into posters for a bulletin board, writing center, or computer/word processing area in the classroom.  It is our hope that these tools will support efforts to implement classroom-based research as well to enhance teachers’ best practices in assisting ELL students in strengthening their literacy and overall communication skills.
